For many years I was a teacher of Design & Technology but photography is now my main work with some graphic design thrown in. Being a qualified Mountain Leader I still run expeditions to the wilds of North Wales as well as leading photographic adventures in South India.
The land and built environment have always been a great source of interest. I am now finding that photographing people going about their everyday life is enormously satisfying but it can be quite intimidating. However, a large camera acts like a photographers pass and usually people accept that you are just doing a job.
My main camera now is a Canon 5D but I am never without a little point and shoot Canon Ixus. You never know when an opportunity will arise. Several pictures have been used by newspapers that were taken with the Ixus.
